DrinkOnMe lets you buy someone a drink remotely. You choose what to send, we hold the payment, and your recipient gets a link they can use to pay at any participating pub, bar or restaurant in the UK using Apple Pay or Google Pay.
You must be 18 or over to use DrinkOnMe, whether you are sending or claiming a drink.
When you send a drink, we place a hold (authorisation) on your card for the drink amount. We only capture what your recipient actually spends, plus a 15% service fee (capped at £10 per drink). If the drink is never claimed, the full hold is released back to you automatically.
Each gift creates a single-use virtual card. It can only be used once and expires 30 days after it is created. After expiry, any remaining hold on your payment is released.
Gift cards are valid at pubs, bars and restaurants only. They cannot be used at shops, online retailers or any other type of merchant.
Once a card has been redeemed at a venue, no refund can be issued for that transaction. If the card has not been used and has not yet expired, the hold will be released automatically.
